The Leading-Edge Answer to an Age Old Problem

If bad soil’s making your concrete shift, CST has the most advanced, affordable solution you’ll find anywhere. It’s the Uretek Method. An injection system that installs rapidly and unobtrusively to lift and stabilize almost any concrete slab-on-grade structure, from residences and commercial buildings to highways and even airport runways.

Precise and Powerful

This patented process involves the precise liquid injection of high-density polyurethane plastic through small (5/8") holes drilled in your sagging concrete slab. Once in place, the material expands to lift and stabilize the slab, while filling voids in the underlying soil and undersealing the existing concrete. It’s that simple.

Convenient and Affordable

The CST Uretek Method requires just a small crew of trained professionals with a single, specially equipped truck. That makes installation quick, so normal use of your structure can resume within hours, not the customary days or weeks. It’s also easily installed in areas with limited access, where using other methods might cause structural damage. Best of all, the simplicity of the Uretek Method makes it more affordable than most other techniques for combating the effects of unstable soil.

A Permanent Solution

The fully expanded Uretek material resists erosion and compression over time, making it a permanent solution you can count on.

Public Works Applications
Streets, Roads, Highways
and Airports

Concrete pavement restoration, or CPR, has become an increasingly important area of the public works sector. As more streets and highways are approaching (or have already exceeded) their original design lives, CPR has become more attractive in terms of initial cost, less disruption of traffic, and its ability to restore roadway serviceability.

One area of interrelated problems that CPR addresses is the occurrence of voids beneath slabs leading to instability, cracking, sinking and ponding problems. CPR also involves the rehabilitation of depressed slabs due to subgrade settlement. Currently, these problems are addressed with cement grouting, asphalt overlays or complete road surface replacement. The URETEK Method, used by CST, offers a viable alternative solution and is ideal for concrete pavement restoration projects both large and small.

Commercial and Industrial Applications

It is often vital that settlement of building slabs, foundations, walkways, and concrete paving in commercial and industrial facilities be corrected.

In commercial properties, slab settlement problems can result in unsightly cosmetic damage to the structure, customer inconvenience, potential accidents, and possible loss of tenants. In industrial facilities, slab settlement and alignment problems can result in personnel accidents, damage to equipment, materials handling difficulties or general loss of operation efficiency.

Traditionally, settlement problems have been addressed using toppings, overlays, removal and replacement, or mud jacking. All these methods are lengthy and require operational shutdown and/or equipment removal.

By using the patented CST URETEK Method, most commercial and industrial slab settlement and alignment problems can be corrected with little or no disruption of operations.

Residential

It is often desirable that settlement of building slabs in residential areas be corrected without having to move all furniture, appliances, and possibly the whole family.

In residential properties, slab settlement problems can result in potential damage to the structure, potential accidents, and loss of real estate value.

Traditionally, the typical way to correct interior slab settlement was to install concrete piers inside your home. Settlement problems have also been addressed using toppings, overlays, removal and replacement, or mud jacking. All of these methods are lengthy and require great inconvenience to the family.

The Uretek Method offers an effective, clean and quick alternative. By using CST, most residential slab settlement and alignment problems can be corrected in a short period of time with little disruption to the family. Compared to other methods, the work is completed in a fraction of the time.
